As
the proud son-in-law of a New York City Police Officer (NYPD. -
Retired), another personal commitment of Mr. Star's is in honoring all
our wonderful Civil Protection Workers everywhere. Mr. Star is dedicated
in his ambition to protect and serve with great appreciation the
financial interests and guidance of all Police Officers, Firefighters,
Emergency Medical Personnel and all other Citizen Protection
Organizations and their families, current and retired, with the
professional respect and honor they deserve.
Mr. Star and his family lost a dear friend, a first responder
firefighter of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) during the
September 11th, 2001 attacks. He is now in the beginning planning
stages to form a formal committee for a 9/11 Memorial every year
starting in 2010, to honor the bravery and courage of our fallen.
Mr. Star also has friends and family that served their country in the
Armed Forces in times of conflict. He is dedicated to helping and
providing Veterans, Soldiers and their families with the financial
guidance and service they too deserve.
One of Michael's most unconditional and profoundly committed passions is
to try to meet the most immediate and important needs of our Community.
One of those passions is his dedication to the hardworking
teachers, paraprofessionals, principals and all school support
staff to give these special people the best services possible.
He
is a parental
volunteer at his child’s local elementary school and also is a
member of the Parent/Teacher’s Association. Michael also enjoys
spending time with his family, outdoor sports, spending time at the
beach and reading and is always alert and willing to give any time
necessary to the needs of his community.
